I have a problem with my CD/DVD drive on my Presario laptop. About 8 months ago, my computer mysteriously stopped recognizing the drive. Then, as mysteriously as the problem arose, about a month later the drive started working again and all was fine. Then, about a month ago, the drive stopped working again, meaning I cannot use this drive at all.The disc drive is still getting power, and I can open and close the drive without problem, but it is not recognized. Any solutions? I am a graduate student and quite anxious to burn the large amount of material on my computer to a back up CD.Thanks for your help!My computer stopped recognizing my dvd/cd drive all of the sudden. It works sometimes when the computer restarts, then it just stops working. I have Windows Vista and my computer is HP Pavilion dv9000. Can any one help me please!!!
