Laptop Charging Problem! Read Details!?

Question

I have a dell laptop and as of right now its dead. My dog ate my chargers wire so i cant charge it. Is there anyway i can get on to my laptop without using a charger? Thanks for the help =]

You will need a power source to use a computer, either a battery or a power cable (but you don't have one).

I think dell has a 1 year accidental coverage on parts, so if you still have it claim warranty on the charger pack.

If you don't have the warranty you will need to find the parts on www.dell.com or find some on other sites, as dell is usually overpriced on parts.

you can buy a battery, or a new charger. (though you should find some suitable wires for your charger.. in the shop ofcourse, or loan one from a friend.)

ok i am sorry but u cant charge it any other way unless u buy another charger or borrow a charger or if u have a usb cable to connect and thenn with the charger point

by saying "there anyway i can get on to my laptop without using a charger? " do you mean to get your files out to another computer without the laptop being on. or actually using the laptop to do work.

if the second one then the answer is no.

for the first, it is possible to remove the hard drive(on dells its 2 small phillips screws max, it will then slide out, there may be a connector that needs to be removed in order to use the adapter) and with a usb adapter cable, plugging it in to another computer and have access to all of your files and information.

thats about all you can do without a charger. check link below for a sugestion on the adapter that will fit your hard drive for sure.
