Laptop Help! what to look for?

I'm looking to buy a laptop, but don't know which one to choose!

What should i be looking for and what brand/model laptop do you recommend or think is a good buy? Thank you for your help!

Consumer Search has some good articles on selecting a laptop.

Also, they gather reviews from all over the internet and make recommendations for which laptop is best for several  different kinds (e.g. cheap, ultralight, etc.).

Well you should definately get a  DELL laptop! I have one myself and also my families computer is a Dell. The dell laptop i got is the Inspiron 1525 and it is so good, it isn't even that expensive. If you order it online you can choose all the features it has, like the memory etc so you basically customize it, you can even choose from a variety of colours, i got mine in glossy white!! :D You can also choose wheteher it is XP or Vista, I went with Vista although my other computer is XP. Just make sure yuou get a big enough video card if you wanna play games on it like the sims becuase my video card isn't that big so i can't play big games on it, but simple games work still. yo i just bought a dell studio 17, 17" screen babyyy, goes mean and fast, great for watching movies and p**n, and listening to music, back lit keyboard, fingerprint reader and heaps of xtras. totally dope and recommended. bought mine for NZD$2000, so if ur in the states itll be wayyyy cheaper
