  1. Easy way is to call the 800# of the router. You may need to wait for a while to talk to a live voice, but the wait is worth it. They can get you going.

  2. um first you have to connect the router to your laptop and put in the dist it came with and install with and fix the configurations and after it was successful connect the router back to the computer and when you scan for routers on your laptop it would show up and just type in the password or w/e and it should work Hope it helps..... :)

  3. It's very simple, just get a wireless card for your laptop, preferably of the same brand as the router, but doesn't have to be.

  4. Your going to have to build a bridge.

Bascially, the Internet will connect into your desktop, and your desktop will bridge to your laptop.

Its not difficult to do, but your going to need help setting it up.  Very difficult to do in text without actually seeing what your running.

is a good forum about the very topic.

EDIT - I read your problem as you having a Desktop with a Wireless NIC (not a router).

  5. the dell inspiron has a wireless card in it - I know because i have the same model.

you will have to set up your router with wireless settings and make sure it has the following

SSID - username for your wireless network

WEP/WPA key - basically a password to protect your broadband from anyone else but yourself from using it

and then you will need to enter these settings in your laptop.

I've found this site which will help you with your laptop side of things - but your router may be a little difficult

maybe have a look at the users manual for your router and see if it has a CD to install a wireless area with it or check out the manufactor's home page. There are just too many variables to discuss what you need to look for when setting up a router. Espially if you don't know what your doing, or what to look for
