Laptop Tablet Pen Pressure?

I have a tablet laptop *Toshiba Portege* and Adobe photoshop Elements 6. The pen pressure works on OneNote and other things but i can't set it up in photoshop, which really sucks because I love to draw. I've tried a zillion different things and nothing has worked... If you know how to help me or can link me to a good tutorial i would be so happy! Please? thx

I'm not an artistic type so I've never tried using the pen in PS. The one thing that might cause an issue is pressure sensitivity levels. Most Wacom tablets run around 1056 pressure sensitivity levels, whereas a TabletPC only has 256, so perhaps there's a setting required for that?
