Laptop Trouble!!! Please Help!!?

My laptop is supposed to have a 120 GB memory. When i Click on computer i haveto files. 1 is called Vista (C:) and this has 60gb memory. the other is called Data (E:)and has 60gb also. well the problem is that i have us 56gb on the vista part so ow do i start to use the rest of my latops memrory??

  1. That's an Acer/Toshiba sign. You can merge the partitions together, however, I wouldn't advise you to do that. When the 56gb gets filled up, just move everything over to your other partition. It's all on the same hard drive, it's just got 2 "sections", if you will. You do have about 120gb; you'll never get all your hard drive space. I have a 40GB, and I only have 37.2GB... for example. You'll be able to work around it.

    I take it that your laptop came with vista installed

    Vista partitions part of your hard drive to install the recovery files on. that is so when you have a problem you can use your recovery disk that came with the laptop to recover your files.

    The drives usually read as drive c  main drive and drive e recovery drive

    The recovery partition must be available  do not format it. if you do you can not recover vista using the recovery cd
