Laptop Wi-Fi Problem what should i do?

my xbox live works to the wif fi

my pc works

but my laptop does not

it goes to the hompage "gateway hme[page"

but no images will show up

and then i cant go to any other web sites

Make sure you're connected to the right network - you should have security on your network and change the SSID so you know it's really your network.

Otherwise, call the PC manufacturer and they should be able to help...you could always try calling the router manufacturer but they won't be specifically trained for your computer setup.

This may sound stupid but try rebooting...it could be that simple.  Also, if you right-click the "network" icon (near the clock) and choose "repair" or "diagnose and repair" that will 'reset' the connection.

i would use a cord...you get alot better connection going straight to a router

if thats not a choice...did your wireless router have software ? install and follow steps

did you connect to a wireless network? goto network connections and set one up if you havent
