Question:

Laptop Wireless Troubles?

I have a laptop with vista, and have set up a network, and in the past have linked up with it. Recently it does not link up, the computer says it is connected. However the icon with the two computers and the earth just constantly blinks with each of the comp screens lighting up. Doing an MSN Live connection test it says the problem is the DNS however I get both the IP and the DNS automatically for my network.

The Trouble Started when I went over to a friends house and hooked up to his internet. I changed my settings for his network to private (to prevent kickoffs) mid way but eventually it stopped working and I got kicked off and started behaving the same way that it is now behaving at home. Since this happened I cannot hook up to any network and go on the internet.

  1. this is the reason windows 7 is comming out, well all i really want to say is get a third part wireless connection agent that can take care of all this for you, or, set yourself up with a manual IP address and it should work fine, that's what i was forced to do with my vista
