Laptop batteries and power?

My laptop's battery used to hold power for an hour after it was unplugged now after about five to fifteen minutes all the power is gone and when I unplug my computer it automatically turns off even if i've had it plugged in for hours. Anyone know what's happening to it?

  2. Like everything else batteries get old. When they can no longer hold a charge, they should be replaced

  5. Rechargeable batteries do not last forever. They have a limited working life. Yours need replacing.

  6. it could be the batter that is almost dead. Some old laptops may need to charge for a weeks.

    The battery last for around 2 years if you use it every day. Some have around 1000 charges and normal ones have around 400-450 charges.
