Laptop batteries: bigger mAh number means what?

I need a Toshiba laptop battery PA3465U-1BAS. However, the one I have is 4400 mAh and the one I am looking at online is 6600 mAh.

It also looks like it will stick out of my pc because it is wider.

Will the 6600 mAh last longer?

Any help is greatly appreciated

  1. The battery with t he larger mAh should definitely last longer.  However, make sure it is compatible with your computer before you buy it.


  2. It will last longer, if it actually fits, of course. You sure that battery is meant for your laptop?
