  1. I wouldn't recommend it...and also I am not responsible for any damage to you or to the laptop...however, I've done it before. Both inserted and removeda battery.

But what's the point. Just put it into hibernate, but leave the power cord plugged in. Remove the battery, then press the power to exit hibernate.

  2. In Case you need to save Laptop Power, you can turn laptop monitor off using a utility from Monitor Off Dot Com

  3. Assuming that you're plugged in, I don't think inserting a battery will cause any harm. The computer will just detect the battery. Just like inserting a USB into your computer when it's on, does it blow up?

As long as you're plugged in, I think you can take the battery out because your computer isn't using the battery to begin with so why would it have any effects, if at all.

But to be safe, insert a battery when the computer is off and remove a battery when the computer is off. Why risk your laptop? Unless you want to experiment and have a reason to get a new laptop.

  4. I always do it, but i'm not sure if its a safe way to remove or plugg the battery so you better not do it :)

  5. NO.
