  1. if it is still under warranty, bring it to your dealer else you need to have it check by an authorized repairman

  2. To get the data out, you could try getting an external case(you can find them online fairly cheap) so that you can use the laptops hard drive as an external drive on a different PC.  Other than that you could have many options.  You could pay a ton of money to someone like Geek Sqwaud to examine your laptop and tell you that you need new hardware or that they can retrieve your data.  Call the manufacturer to see what options you may have.  Sometimes even if your warranty has lapsed they may offer discounted services.  As a last ditch effort, open every panel and remove every device possible and allow it to air dry or use your hair dryer on cool setting(compressed air would also work).

  3. You shouldn't of had dried it, the water has dried into the motherboard.

The best thing you should have done in the situation is face the laptop keyboard downwards, and let the water drip out itself.

You'll need to buy a new laptop, as buying a new motherboard for the laptop will be more than getting a new laptop, because of everything being integrated (soldered on).

Warranty will not work, unless you have accidental coverage.

  4. sounds like more than a few drops ----repair center now
