I have an Acer Aspire 7520-5839 and It doesnt boot up just has a black screen that loads on forever.
Ok, so this is what happened. I was told updating my BIOS to the new version 1.33 will optimise the use of the laptop when its on battery so i will have more time remaining on my battery. So i went to the acer site download the new BIOS which was 1.33 and i updated my old one 1.07 to 1.33. After the Flashing of the BIOS was finished it said it was going to restart my laptop. So it restarted and then it when boot up again.
Now everytime i turn on my laptop it goes fast the Acer Logo loading screen and then just goes blank loading on for hours. So i 110% know its a BIOS problem or i cud me wrong
Then someone told me to do the following:
1. http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_7520.html2. Do you have a XP CD? If so, boot the Recovery Console by entering R the at the first opportunity. From the command prompt, can you see the C: drive by entering dir c:If so, type chkdsk /r and press EnterWait for it to complete. This can take awhile on a large drive so be patient. Type fixboot and press EnterReboot and see if XP will boot correctly now.
But i dont have xp installed and i have vista.
And i tried that and then i got into the Recovery console it was like wat is the Admin password
This is what i tried:
acer(my main accounts password which is the administrator cuz i enabled it in CMD)
1234
****(four blank spaces)
none of these worked and i tried so many more password none worked and now im looking for two things eather to bypass the recovery console admin pass thingy or find another way to get my boot up fix and if this is not a boot up problems please tell me what to do so i can go into my laptop normally.
thanks in advanced
