Question:

Laptop not charging properly?

I sent my laptop for repairs under the warranty but it was sent back saying there was nothing wrong with it. I took my recently brought universal charger back to the shop and they tested and also said there was nothing wrong with it. There is clearly some fault as unless I am really still with the laptop it stops charging, so who do I believe and what do I do now?

  1. Universal laptop chargers often do not charge laptops properly due to one of three reasons. The voltage must be within half a volt of the required voltage when measured under full load, ie full load is when the full current is being drawn, many reduce voltage under full load. The current stated on the laptop must be less than that stated on the charger. The connector must fit tightly to the laptop socket. We find universal laptop chargers often do not meet the requirements and would always recoment the manufactures replacement http://www.trilogicuk.co.uk

  2. If moving it around stops it charging, this would tend to suggest a damaged power-jack - in which case, the repair would have to be undertaken on the laptop, not the charger.

  3. that happend to me before just buy the original charger again because the one you have is probably bad some guy told me that my charger was fine but i went ahead and bought one fof ebay and now my laptop is working fine..
