Question:

Laptop plugged in or battery?

im just a bit curious if its more efficient to either keep my laptop plugged in most of the time, running through the battery whenever its full, or if theyre the same in power usage. thanks for the help!

  1. I'm not sure-_- But I don't think uses more energy if you keep it pluged in with a full battery. but if you use it when it's a full battery and plugged in it uses more power.i think. hope you find a good answer!  =D  interesting question


  2. I leave my battery charger plugged in while using my laptop, treating my battery as an uninteruptible power supply.

    Now for sure, this uses just a little more power than leaving it unplugged until it reaches low battery level.But the difference is very slight, and the risk that a power failure will hit while I am near low battery level makes that strategy undesirable.

    I leave the charger on a power bar that I turn off when I am leaving the computer off. That turns off my  speakers, printer, and the room light.

  3. You can save energy by running off your battery but once you charge it up, the grand total is the same.

  4. battery is the best i think. because plug-ins cause more power by the fact that vene if you don;t use it electricty is still flowing thorugh th connection in the convenience outlert.
