I bought a laptop on eBay. It originally came with XP, but the guy bought the Anytime Upgrade Vista disc, and installed it. It's a 4 year old HP. It wasn't Vista compatible, but he upgraded the entire system to the specs needed. It handles Vista well. My problem is that I need the sound card driver, and HP doesn't have Vista drivers for this computer. I read somewhere to try the XP driver and it hasn't worked. Any ideas?

  1. Hi tiffany

There is a workaround to any issues. Just go in the compatibility option and select the driver to run in windows 2000 compatibility mode or Win xp or what your choices are.

  2. I've found that upgrading from XP to Vista is NOT a good idea...  You'll experience problems often.  My best advice, downgrade back to XP!
