  1. First of all, check your cables to your hard disk. A lot of problems are caused by loose cables. Unfortunately, on a laptop they are difficult to get to. You probably will need a tech to either talk you through this or check it out himself. Good luck.

  2. your hard drive is ether currupted or one of the ribbin or power cables inside has come off. go to a comp store and check it out. If you have important data on it. then go to hard drive recovery center

  3. Goto Boot Setup and try to find SATA mode...

put the SATA mode into IDE (I think ;) )

This should surely work...! and it will for sure!!! There is no hard disk failure... I do a lot of OS installations, Multiple OSs... So I am sure this can solve the mystery...

  4. it could be your hard drive got fried or maybe it loose open up your the side of your laptop and take out the hard drive then put it back in then try to reinstall windows

  5. Maybe that is your problem. Hard drives can crash when they are old, so I would not be surprised if yours did. You can get a new one for not too much, but they are tricky to install.
