AirLink101 AR430W Super G Wireless Router

After turning it on I says that it's connected to my network, but I get page not found when I try to look at sites, pinging IPs or URLs get timed out. There are 3 ways of fixing it, restart router, disable then re enable wifi card or click repair on network connection. I tried having windows manage wifi, I tried having dell wifi utility manage it, as well as assigning IP/DNS manually or automatically... The thing is it work fine in the past for a few months. Any suggestions?

  1. It sounds like the information about the wireless network that it thinks it has is not correct and just needs to be refreshed.  Does it happen everytime you shut down and restart or only if it is shut down a while?

I think if any of the 3 ways fix it you need to bring in more equipment to troubleshoot.

    1. Have a friend with a laptop bring a laptop and hook up to your router.  Shutdown, then start up again and see if it connects.

    2. OR Take your computer somewhere and connect, then shutdown, and startup and see if it connects.

  2. Try to uninstall in Device manager. Windows will re-detect it and install it again as a new card (ex. Wireless Network Connection 2 instead of 1) It should reset all settings you may ave changed that may have caused this to happen.

  3. if you're thinking of buying a laptop you should check out this site first. they give you a sony vaio laptop for FREE! all you need to do is complete a few quick tasks for them.
