Lara Jackson and Nick Brunelli win the 50m freestyle Super Finals at the Arizona Invitational
Day two of the Arizona Invitational got-off to a flying start with the captivating performances of Lara Jackson and Nick Brunelli, in the 50m freestyle Super Finals at Temple in Arizona, on May 28.
Lara Jackson of Tucson Ford took home the Women’s freestyle Super Final with a sterling time of 25.84 seconds, while Margo Geer secured the second spot in 26.15 seconds. Gracie Finnegan finished third in 26.76 seconds.
Nick Brunelli of SwimMAC clinched the Men’s 50m Super Final with a fastest time of 22.69 seconds and Josh Schneider wound up second in a time of 22.78 seconds. Adam Small of Tucson Ford earned the third place honour in 22.84 seconds, while Masayuki Kishida
settled fourth in 23.06 seconds.
In the Women’s 100m breaststroke final, Rebecca Ejdervik of Sun Devil won the golden crown in a sterling time of 1 minute and 10.86 seconds, while Breeja Larson of Mesa earned the second place honour in 1 minute and 11.05 seconds. Annie Chandler of Tucson
Ford finished third in 1 minute and 11.34 seconds.
The Men’s 100m breaststroke title was taken over by Clark Burckle of Tucson Ford with a winning time of 1 minute and 03.37 seconds, while Marcus Titus snared silver within a time of 1 minute and 03.71 seconds. Kevin Munsch rounded out the top three in 1
minute and 03.80 seconds.

Maggie Meyer of Tucson Ford won the Men’s 200m backstroke title with a sterling time of 2 minutes and 18.86 seconds. On the other hand, Leone Vorster secured the second place in 2 minutes and 20.39 seconds. Anna Grainger of Nashville settled third in 2 minutes
and 20.91 seconds.
In the Women’s 200m backstroke final, Nick Thoman of SwimMAC claimed the gold medal with a time of 2 minutes and 01.31 seconds, while Eugene Godsoe earned the second spot in 2 minutes and 03.08 seconds. Cory Chitwood of Tucson Ford settled third in 2 minutes
and 04.78 seconds.
Alyssa Anderson of Tucson Ford won the Women’s 200m butterfly title with a winning time of 2 minutes and 16.07 seconds. Anderson clinched her second title in the 400m freestyle event with a stunning time of 4 minutes and 23.84 seconds.

Dakota Hodgson of Nashville claimed the Men’s 200m butterfly title with a time of 2 minutes and 01.04 seconds. AJ Tipton of Tucson Ford snared silver with a time of 2 minutes and 07.45 seconds, while Caleb Veazey of Sun Devil settled third in a time of 2 minutes
and 10.73 seconds. Veazey snagged his second title in the Men’s 400m freestyle category with a winning time of 4 minutes and 07.64 seconds.
Tinsley Andrews, Lauren Torres, Sara Jurek, and Leticia Lelli of Sun Devil took home the Women's 400m free relay crown with a time of 4 minutes and 03.19 seconds.
