Question:

Large Antenna Insect...?

I found this large insect in my house the other day. It had around a half an inch worth of body and about three inches worth of antenna. At first I thought it was a cockroach, but I compared their appearances and they don't look much alike, aside from the antenna.

So does anyone know some kind of insect with huge antenna and probably considered a household pest, but isn't a cockroach?

  1. I looked for insects that resembled cockroaches that had very long antenna.  First there are some species of cockroach that have antenna that is 2-3 times their body length.  Antenna do not always show up well in these pictures.

    I hope this helps.

  2. Tough question.. I think you need to be more specific in your question. Perhaps post a picture up or give a good description of the insect, also where you reside and what the environment is like. That should help people figure it out.
