  1. read the question its AMTRAK

    shoulda let CONRAIL be CONRAIL

  2. Great answer to an so-so questions.

  3. Union Pacific!!! Largest Railraod in the US! It connects most of the big citys in the west.

  4. I'd say that any North American Class 1 railroad would fit that description. Here's a list of all the North American Class1 railroads & their mileage:

    Union Pacific (UP): 32,615 miles

    BNSF: 30,000 miles

    CSX: 23,000 miles

    Norfolk Southern (NS): 21,300 miles

    Canadian National (CN): 17,500 miles

    Canadian Pacific (CP): 13,800 miles

Kansas City Southern (KCS): 3,130 miles (operates as KCS de México (KCSdeM) in Mexico).

All of those railroads would fit that description.

  5. These are the biggest, listed in order beginning with the largest:

    Union Pacific: 32,615 miles

Burlington Northern Santa Fe: 30,000 miles

    CSX Transportation: 23,000 miles

    Norfolk Southern: 21,300 miles

The next two biggest operators are Canadian companies that own trackage mainly in the northeast and Great Lakes/Plains states and, of course, in Canada:

Canadian National: 17,500 miles (US & Canada)

Canadian Pacific: 13,800 miles (US & Canada)

Kansas City Southern: 3,130 miles (also operates in Mexico and Panama)

  6. amtrak.I'm assuming this is a crossword clue.

  7. CSX

    Norfolk Southern
