Question:

Large Video (63mb) Won't Copy From Camera To PC?

I took a video of my boyfriend's band on my camera (12mp Canon Powershot G9) and I tried copying it over to My Pictures with no success. The file is there with a name but when I click properties it says "0 Bytes". I copied some other videos I took the same day (MUCH small 11.3mb) and they copied over fine.

Any idea why I can't copy over the video? I have at least 80gb space free on my HD.

Is there any way to get around this problem??

Thank you!

  1. Transfer file from camera to Windows Explorer then open it in Windows Media Player should work.

  2. Go to My Computer and plug your camera or card reader in (turn camera on) a new drive will appear double click the drive and a folder will appear double click that and your video file will be there, click and drag it onto the desktop and your computer will copy it over (with a file that size it will take a while), when its done double click the file and it should open with whatever program you have associated with that file type, probably Media Player.
