What happens if someone mails you a big package that obviously doesn't fit in your PO Box? How would you know about it? Does the post office call you and tell you to pick it up, and do they charge you a holding fee or something?

  1. They put a notice in your box, you pick it up at the counter during business hours.

No extra charge.  They will return it after it has sat around unclaimed for awhile.

  2. Usually they put a card in the box to tell you to come to the desk to pick up your oversize package.

  3. They will leave a note and you can go and pick it up........
