  1. Unless they specifically say so I wouldn't risk washing them, I know there are some you can wash.  The place where you purchased them will probably do them or if not recommend some where.  If you inherited them with the house then just look up the Yellow Pages and if there are no companies that advertise the cleaning of these just phone local blind suppliers.

  2. Sling em in the dishwasher - far less abusive than the washing machine!! Simply roll each individual slat and pop in the machine. Do on a quick cool wash.

  3. take tem down one by one and then roll them up and soak in a bowl of water

  4. http://dirtyblinds.co.uk/index.html would do it for you cheaply and fast. (They did mine).

  5. I do mine myself, but i put them in a pillow case, 30 decree wash, mild powder or liquid, and bobs your uncle, soon as they come out hang them straight up, they wont take long to dry, but put all your fixtures back on straight away, this will weigh them down so no need for ironing, good luck.

  6. Murphy's Oil to the rescue!

Get a bucket of warm or hot water and a *washcloth*.

First, add the Murphy's Oil to the water. Look on the bottle so you know how much you need.

Soak the washcloth so it's wet.

Take each blind and use the washcloth to wipe the blind clean.

    Walla!
