Does anybody know what is the largest (involving the most players) in NBA history? Was there ever a 4-way trade in NBA history before?

Also, in your opinion, name some of the most epic (involving some of the best players) trades in NBA history. Try to name some recent and some olden trades. Name why you think these trades were epic.

  1. Here's the five-team trade:

Miami gets: Antoine Walker (From Celtics); Andre Emmett, Jason Williams, and James Posey (From Grizzlies); draft rights of Robert Duanas (From Hornets)

Boston gets: Curtis Borchardt (From Utah); Qyntel Woods (From Miami); draft rights to Albert Miralles (From Unknown); 2 second round draft picks and money

Memphis gets: Eddie Jones (From Heat); Raul Lopez (From Utah)

New Orleans gets: Rasual Butler (From Heat); Kirk Snyder (From Utah)

Utah gets: Greg Ostertag (From Memphis)

I also think that the Miami-L.A. trade for Shaq was one of the bigger ones, considering how Odom and Butler have turned out.  And then of course was the 8 for 1 trade for KG which bumped the Celtics over the top.

  2. I would agree with Sportsfan24

That trade started the Celtic dynasty of the 60's (11 titles in 13 seasons).

  3. There have been a few 4-way trades.

There was even a 5-way trade!

Back in 2005 there was a 13 player trade! It involved the Heat, Celtics, Grizz, Hornets and Jazz.

  4. The trade b/w the Lakers and Hornets in 1996 involving Vlade Divac and Kobe Bryant was pretty epic.  I mean, Divac for Kobe 'freaking' Bryant.

  5. the trade that included 3 hall of famers:

1956 The St. Louis Hawks trade the rights to Bill Russell to the Boston Celtics for "Easy" Ed Macauley and the rights to Cliff Hagan.

  6. great question but sorry i cant really think of any huge trades
