  1. Definitely Larry Johnson....

Drew is running back by committee, don't want anything to do with that....

  2. If it's a Point-per-Reception (PPR) league, I would have to give strong consideration to MJD.

MJD, though a platoon back does an excellent job delivering points every week.  He's extremely versatile and can be used on special teams as well.  With Garrard emerging, I think his receiving numbers could go through the roof.

I like Larry Johnson, but he's coming off of injury, he's got a ton of miles, and they drafted Jamaal Charles from Texas.

I'm worried that KC could really limit Johnson's workload, which will already be strained by having Brodie Croyle at QB.

Larry Johnson is the higher rated player in all formats, on every cheat sheet I've seen.

That said, my gut tells me take the younger MJD.

  3. Since it's a keeper league, I have to say Jones-Drew.  Johnson is on a bad team with an old O-line, while MoJo is on a young up and coming team and he will be the #1 RB for the Jags if not this year then probably next.

  4. The key is the word "keeper". Take Jones-Drew, who will be a clear-cut starter when Fred Taylor gets hurt (again) or retires. The fact that MJD has fantasy value in 2008 is an added bonus.

  5. jones drew NO QUESTION

its debatable who will have a better year this year but MJD will continue having good years for the next four or five years at least, while larry johnson has two productive seasons at most left.

  6. MJD.

  7. maurice jones drew

  8. Larry Johnson for sure.   Maurice is still half the backfield.  (Fred Taylor)  That old man is still going to get his touches.

Larry don't have to come out unless his want a break.

  9. Larry Johnson, Jones-Drew shares carries with Fred Taylor, and their team got better wide receivers for this year which means they may pass more often, also the Cheifs didnt get a QB this off season which means they will stick to the run game

  10. For the upcoming season, I would be inclined to take Larry Johnson but this being a keeper, and MJD being the younger player, I would take him. Plus Taylor is going to be done soon so you could see MJD become a full time back and that could a top tier RB.

  11. Take Drew he's more consistent than Lj plus his season last year sets him up for an incredible season this year.
