Larry King Murder......?

What a crock of nonsense this, where many articles (posted by g*y-activists) make this child to be innocent. Frankly, I don't feel either are 100% at fault (Larry or Brandon) because if the school would have done their job as well as the placement where Larry was located at this would never have occurred. The second that boy went to school in 3 in stiletto heels they should have sat down and talked to him about attire and a more appropriate way of expressing himself, not encouraging his behavior. This only lead to him acting out even more for attention and to his eventual sexual harassment of his classmates. Maybe if the school would have done their job he would not have dressed the way he did promoting the others bullying him which lead to his sexual harassment of his fellow classmates. g*y, straight, bi, nobody NOBODY wants their space invaded and No means No.

  1. Larry King had the right to wear whatever the h**l he wanted to. The kid who killed him is a monster, plain and simple. It makes me sick to think that anyone should have to conform to your or other people's standards of dress to avoid being murdered. Saying he promoted the bullying IS saying it's his fault he was killed. Give me a f*cking break!

  2. OMG! I read the whole article! I had not even heard of this out here in the Midwest -- go figure. But I usually try to keep up with national news. In the greater scheme of things this is a much bigger deal than say Natalee Holloway -- not to make light of what her family is still going through but a boy walked right up to another boy in the library and shot him???  That alone is unconscionable.

Being a writer and in theatre I have LOTS of g*y friends and when we were young in school I had a feeling a couple of them were g*y. This was in the 80s through 1990 and I feel they were right not to come out -- unfortunately for what that says about our society. Now that they are living in New York and Chicago as adults in their 30s-- whatever makes them happy makes me happy.

Our schools have always had language in the handbook about clothing that is distracting. I do not think a girl at my children`s middle or high school would be allowed to wobble around in stilettos and heavy makeup and evening gowns much less a boy.

I do think the L*****n vice principal could have had a much better role to play talking to Larry about how for better or worse g*y people are in the minority in our society and that to get along you do not have to hide that you are g*y but you do have to go along with some of society`s norms. That dressing in drag and flirting with boys is for the weekend -- in school he should not have gotten away with telling boys ``I know you want me.`` Would a straight boy have gotten away with telling a girl that if she complained?

I also agree that someone should have intervened with Brandon with his home life and if someone knew Brandon was enraged by Larry`s treatment of him they should have talked to Brandon about healthy ways to express his anger.

Now two families have lost sons.

  3. Homosexuality and Murder are against Gods laws!! I think the whole thing is just sick!!

  4. I don't think 15 year olds are prepared for his type of "coming out"!! Of course they are going to bully...it comes from not understanding!!! His parents and the school are responsible for this...they never should have allowed him to dress like a girl, hit on other classmates...he needed counseling!!!

  5. Although I do not belive that homosexuality is right, I do not believe the child deserved to be murdered.
