The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder has insisted that he is fully committed to his current side and has no intention of leaving.
The defensive midfielder has insisted that he will be staying with Bayer Leverkusen for the next season and is not thinking of a move away from BayArena despite strong interest from Bayern Munich in the past few days.
The Bavarian giants are in the market for a holding midfielder. The club were in talks with Athletic Bilbao for a possible deal for Javi http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Martinez-c24468, but the Spanish side’s transfer price of €40 million remains the main obstacle.

Bender claimed that Bayer Leverkusen want him to stay and stated that the side has no intentions of selling him. The midfielder denied any reports linking him with a move to Bayern and stressed that he has a long-term contract
with his current side and he is happy to stay.
If reports are to be believed, Jupp Heynckes’ side are preparing a €20 million bid to land the German international, but the Leverkusen based club are demanding a transfer price of around €25 million.
“The club have made it very clear to me that I am a key member of the team and that they will not sell me. I recently extended my contract and now I want to take the next step with the club. I will not engage in further speculation,”
he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former 1860 Munich player stressed on the importance of returning to the UEFA Champions League next season and is confident that his side will be able to achieve the feat. The player is certain that Bayer will end the next
campaign in the top-four to qualify for Europe’s premier club competition.
“Our goal is clearly to get back into the Champions League. If everything goes well, then we absolutely have a chance,” he concluded.
