Las Aguilas, Guadalajara??? Could someone tell me more about this neighborhood?

I will be staying with a house family in this neighborhood Las Aguilas, but will be attending the language school Intstituto Mexicano-Americano that is more in the center of Guadalajara. If I could know, I would like to know about public transportation in the area. Also, approximately how long is the trip from Las Aguilas to downtown Guadalajara? Thanks.

Its a middle class neighborhood in Zapopan not Guadalajara, close to a very busy intersections of avenues like Copernico ave, Lopez Mateos ave, Patria ave, the rents tend to be cheap though. Aguilas is close to most convinient stores, banks, restaurants etc, etc, also is not fancy at all but a good neighborhood.

due to traffic it can take you an hour to get to downtown in public transportation during rush hour... but let other person answer this one since it has been a long time since I ride a public bus in Guadalajara.

The website that Rhino gave is for Guadalajara Spain. I am assuming you are talking about Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico the correct web site with all the bus routes and transit times is http://sistecozome.jalisco.gob.mx/

I am not sure which route is best for you since I do not know where in Las Aguilas you will live.

The instituto Mexicano-Americano is located on Enrique diaz de Leon almost in front of the expiatorio church.
