Im not quite a high roller lol.. but i wanted to treat my boyfriend and myself to one nice dinner in vegas. By "nice" i mean a total bill with tip of around 300.00. I want this to include an appetizer, two entrees, dessert and probably a few drinks or glasses of wine.

Im really interested in alize. Three other options ive read about are aureole, N9ne, and fix.

Which one of these would you suggest for our budget? any other better suggestions? BTW.. the boyfriend is a meat and potatoes kinda guy.. i however would like a place that has neat food presentation etc.

Thanks for your help- i know its a tough one!

  1. Try the Capital Grille in the Fashion Show Mall across from the Wynn, third floor. Know 2 of the waiters there who are very good at serving enjoyment. The food is great, pricey but good size portions. You won't be disappointed. (Look at their website).

  2. Several very nice places in the MGM Grand (my favorite place), but go to the web site below to get info on ALL the restaurants in the city.  Click on the themed restaurants link as well as the bargain link.

You could also go to each casino's web site as they may have more info.

The 2nd link discusses gourment restaurants.

Good luck and have a great time.

  3. My  friends are the owners of Rosemarys Restaurant, which is off the strip and always rated one of the top places in Vegas.

You should check out the web site  because I am sure that it qualifies.  It is extremely popular and you will need to make reservations.

They have meat and potatoes and great presentation as well as excellent service and you will be under your budget by quite a bit.

  4. You already had the best answer yourself-Alize....hands down my favorite Vegas meal ever.  It has the meat/potatoes your guys after, plus beautiful food presentation, plus the most incredible view!!  You really can't go wrong.  Our tab for two with 2 drinks and a mid-priced bottle of wine, 2 salads, 2 entrees & one souffle to share was approx. $350.  Enjoy!!!

  5. The stratophere

    Top of the World

  6. I love Mon Ami Gabi at Paris and also Prime at Bellagio.

  7. the paris steak house is a great place!!!

  8. High on top of the Stratosphere.  It's got good food, and an excellent atmosphere--the restaurant/bar spins for a panoramic view of the strip and surrounding area.  It was breathtaking at night.  However, I don't remember how much it cost. =(

  9. Top of the Word, at the Stratosphere! I went there last year, and it is amazing! It SLOWLY spins so that you get a really nice view of Las Vegas. They take your picture like they do at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. You will love it, I promise! :)

Also- Ruths Chris Steak House on Paradise has EXCELLENT FOOD!

    Best of luck! :)

  10. Perfect Place!!!  MELTING POT!!

look it up on-line, you can view their menu and prices.

This place is so cool.  My husband and I have lived here 2 years and been there 3 times.  The staff (both in Henderson and Vegas) are SUPER nice, the atmosphere is romantic and the food is great!!  The meal minus the salad is all fondue.  The appetizer is your choice of cheese w/breads and veggies to dip, salad, entrees include vanilla rum chicken, sirloin, fillet, shrimp, duck, salmon, and pork.  Along with the meat (the meat comes raw by the way and you cook it in the cooking oil of your choice) comes more veggies and POTATOES!  Dessert is your choice of chocolate with a tray of strawberries, bananas, rice crispy treats, cheesecake, and brownies to dip.  The drinks there are great too!  They have several different margaritas, the pomegranate one is very good.

    I LOVE THAT PLACE.

    Check it out!!

  11. Mesa Grill at Caesar's.  It's somewhat upscale, but in a modern, more relaxed way (not a traditional steakhouse), and it's a got a killer menu for both the "Meat and Potatoes" crowd as well as for those fancy themselves to possess a bit more refined palate.

  12. I think your best bet would be the restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere. The "Top of the World" is within your budget, with a varied menu and a great wine list. Also, it boasts the best view of Las Vegas by far. See the hotel's website for more details. Reservations are mandatory

  13. I wouldn't go to anything in a hotel or on the Strip.  Our favorite place is Mimmo Ferraro's on W. Flamingo.  Gino gave his son Mimmo the restaurant when he (the son) finished culinary training.  Everything is to die for.  The atmosphere is awsome and they have live dinner music on the weekends.  Very romantic and classy.
