Question:

Las Vegas Shows .. Any Recommendations?

Going with the gf to Vegas this coming weekend. her first time there.

she is only 20 so we are somewhat limited in that we can't booze it up (at least not at the clubs) ... so, i'm hoping to find some good shows to take her to.

Have tickets to see "O" on Saturday. I've seen it, she has not. Looking for a Friday show.

Would two Cirque shows in one weekend be too much Cirque? Was thinking about "Ka" on Friday ... if that seems like too much Cirque (my gf has never been to any Cirque shows) maybe Lance Burton (magic) or something else makes more sense???

Any advice?

  1. I have seen both "O" and "KA" and in my opinion KA is much better.  I always recommend the show at Ballys, Jubilee.  Its a great show and I have seen it about 5 times.  Great production and show girls too.

Take her to see Ruda Rudner, a comic.  I think she's at Ballys or Harrahs.

  2. I would do something different, Cirque can be too much if your girlfriend doesn't enjoy "artsy" shows.  Blue Man Group and Lance Burton, and Mamma Mia  are good shows.  I'm a former resident, if Stomp is still in town, that is great too!!!!!

  3. hmm, i like the Adventuredome/Circus Circus, or you could go to Treasure Island and watch the free show outside, or the water show at the Belagio, and be sure to visit the Nascar Cafe, mmmm, and just walking around the strip is fun, and you should go to the Secret Garden at the Mirage, and you could go on the New York New York roller coaster, that takes you all around the strip, the Stratosphere is very fun, ride the roller coaster up there, ummm, you also could go see Cirque Disolay, and you could go to the buffets at Gold Coast,Boulder Station,Texas Station, Sunset Station, And go see a movie at a very nice theatre at Sam's Station, :), have fun

  4. Penn & Teller put on a great show - amazing magic, and very funny.

    Lance Burton is good.

Danny Gans also has a great show.

    Blue Man Group is amazing.

    Wayne Brady is really funny.

The Elton John show is something else, but he's only there periodically.

  5. The Blue Man Group is great. Very funny. I think you would both enjoy that. When I was there, we also saw The Beatles "Love" Cirque Du Soleil. That was awesome as well. Have fun in Las Vegas. =]

  6. KA is so amazing!  I would recommend it!

  7. Just got back from Vegas on Friday and we saw the celeb impersonators show at the Stratosphere, it rocked. The Christina Aguilera was better than the real thing! Man could that girl sing and the Michael Jackson act, well let me tell ya, he could dance better than any Michael Jackson I have ever seen!

  8. I think two cirque shows would be too much.  How about a play like Jersey Boys at Palazzo or Phantom of the Opera at Venetian.

And she cannot drink anywhere, period, since she is 20.

BTW I would rather see Mystere or Love than Ka.

    Burton is fantastic!

    check www.lasvegasnow.com for ideas

  9. KA is good, Mystere is good. I recommend Blue Man Group... There's also several headliners in town - like Wayne Brady... You could always hit one of those Tix4Tonite booths and see what strikes you as a last-minute deal....
