  1. Vegas is a lot of fun anytime of year.  December is nice, but it is cold at night!

The average temperatures in Vegas in December are 58 degrees (High) and 34 degrees (low)

This page has the busy times of the year and it includes Early December for the National Finals Rodeo.

Vegas is a party city all the time- so you don't have to worry about not a lot going on or things closing down.  I'm not sure about access to pools in December, but I have read that Tropicana has the only indoor pool on the strip, here is a website that tells about the pools in december http://las-vegas-hotels.tripadvisor.com/...

  3. Vegas is happening all year long! Early summer seems to be the most crowded, but there are conventions all during the year so at no time is it "empty." As for weather, it's cool in the fall, but not too bad. I'd dress in layers because of the temp changes as you're going in and out of the hotels.

    Have fun!

  4. Naw. Not too cold at all. It'll be in the 50s and sometimes even warmer. Just bring a sweater or light jacket.  It gets colder in January.  Lots of people all the time and this is party central!

  5. There is never a down time in Vegas.  To Las Vegans, December is ''cold'' but to most tourists, that weather is better than where they came from.

  6. I usually make a trip to Las Vegas the first week of December each year and usually get very good weather.  Days I can walk around with just long sleeves but after the sun goes down it gets kinda cool, even into the 50's.

So if you go then just take a sweater or light jacket for nights.  I have also found that its still kinda crowded in December, but that's because the first week or so of December is when they typically have the Rodeo World Championships and lots of people are in town for that.  So if you want a party time, go when the rodeo is there; plenty of people, big cowboy hats and all ...LOL

  7. Vegas is 24/7 365 days a year.  Winter is very nice expect when the cold northern winds blow.  Locals seldom wear a coat and then a light one.  Periodically we may three days or so of very cold, near freezing weather, but that is rare.  Because of that in the near forth decades of living in Vegas I still have the same coat.

  8. I agree with Garrent, VEGAS IS HAPPENING ALL YEAR ROUND.

I know a couple of people who even went there on Thanksgiving and Christmas and it was great!

No matter what time of year you go, it will be off da chain (ebonics)!

  9. Vegas is a party town year round.  It does get chilly at night...maybe as low as 40 degrees.  During the day it can be as warm as the 70's which if you are from a cold climate is wonderful.
