  1. It fixes bad eyesight, whether you are near sighted, far sighted or have astigmatism.  Not everybody is a good candidate for Lasik.  If you are interested, you go have a free consultation and they tell you if they can help you and how much it will cost.

    What you have to do after your consulation is make an appointment, be there, pay, that's pretty much it.  Afterwards you have to wear sunglasses for 24 hours, use all kinds of eye drops.  Wear sunglasses every time you go outside the house for a week.

    You are awake during the process but they put drops in your eyes so you don't feel it.

    It cost me $3000 for both eyes.

    The good, I can see great without glasses now

    The bad, my eyes hurt for about 4 hours after wards and they were uncomfortable a lot of the time for the next 2 or 3 weeks.  They were dry and swollen so my vision was blurry off and on and I had to use a lot of eye drops.

    For me it was worth it.

  2. Laser is used for many eye surgerys. I assume you're talking about Lasik. Lasik is a surgery to reduce your dependence on glasses or contact lenses. It generally runs $2000 - $6000 depending on the surgeon, the laser, the area of the world you are in... Call around and make sure that your surgeon is the one doing all the measurements and will be doing all the pre and post op appointments.

  3. Laser eye surgery is a surgical procedure to correct vision problems like myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia. Laser process is simple, it operates on the cornea and it is fast, and takes only few minutes.

    The first and foremost thing that you need to consider when it comes to laser eye surgery is whether the surgery is right for you. Like other surgeries, laser eye surgery has its risks – a common side effect is the development of double vision, glare or halos that affects your nightlife.  After surgery, the eyes feel mild discomfort or pain for few days. If the problem of dryness persists, than surgeon will give some eye drops. All the side effects are temporary and disappear within few days.

    Most of the laser eye surgeries are covered medical insurance and therefore you may have to pay little or nothing depending on the type of surgery.

    Laser eye surgery helped millions of people to see, without the help of contacts and glasses. To know more please visit the link. Thanks

  4. There is a video about what happens in the actual operation here;

  5. I just know you have to have a prescription for 2 years for over 18 and it fixes your vision (obviously) and its only really meant for if you have very bad vision.  So if your vision isn't too bad, then just stick with contacts or glasses.  And it's expensive (i think like $500 per eye.)
