Laser Hair Removal Treatment ...?

For the people who had this done on their face, how many treatments did you have untill you didnt need to go back again?

Or because its a hormonal area do you have to go back constantly (if so how often? like once a year, every 2 yrs? every 2 months?)

I have been getting my upper lip and chin area done for about 2 years now  going on average every 4 weeks. The length of time and frequency unfortunately have to do with my thick, dark hair that grows quickly. When I started the treatments, however, I was told you would start going every 2 weeks the first few times and then depending on your progression go out to months at a time. Since I still haven't finished my treatment I can't actually give you a time as to how long it takes in the end.
