Question:

Laser Sights for a Glock 20?

Can anyone help me out with a suggestion for a Laser Sight rig for my Glock 20, i.e. the 10mm version? Crimson Trace, Lasermax, others? Also, how easy are they to install? It appears the Crimson Trace is a simple attachment and the Lasermax version is internal complete with an on-off switch on the upper body. Good that it is internal, but kinda bad that the on/off isn't on the grip. Can anyone critique and suggest what they think is the best? Also, list your source such as you own one, law enforcement officer, former military, etc. Thanks!

  1. I've used a number of laser sights for handguns, including Crimson Trace. I'm not a big fan of the externally attached ones. The best laser solutions I have found are those made especially for the gun you mount it on. For the Glock, I would definately go with the Lasermax internal sight. It's less off from the barrel, so sighting it is generally easier, there's less clutter, it's less vulnerable to damage, and it allows you to holster the gun in a standard holster.

I just wish they made one for my H&K USP Compact...

  2. Go to Brownells.com, you can pick any type of laser sight imaginable. Or CheaperthanDirt.com (they kinda Specialize in Glocks and Accesories, or MidwayUsa.com. Each of these sites has a huge variety of laser sites to choose from.

I make a custom Superbright Flashlight, then Laser Sight that comes with a mount for under your Glock and is hand operated. One click turns on the super bright flashlight, the next click turns on the laser, the next click turns the system off.

But check out these URL's and you probably will find what you are looking for, if not repost a reply and I will check back later.

  3. My suggestion would be to take the money you would spend on the sight, spend it on ammo and practice more. Instinctive shooting will do you more good than trying to use a laser.
