Laser eye surgery abroad?

HI,

I want to have laser surgery on my eyes but can't afford the UK prices. Can anyone recommend a good surgery in maybe somewhere like Poland - I had knee surgery there and it was excellent.

Any help would be great!

i hope you find a good price but remember sometime is not about the price its your sight in question if you have your surgery somewhere where you don't know about the aftercare and sucess rate you could just gamble with your sight. wait a little longer save the money and have the surgery where sucess rate is good and aftercare is included. its very important becuase once you have the surgery your eyes will never be the same by that i mean it will feel great when you see good results but there is a small chance that it could go wrong and your vision could be impaired. visit few places before making a decision compare them.

I would do a search and investigate first.  There are a few inquiries right now about laser eye surgery and problems.

there is not much history available for this type of surgery on the eyes. teeth etc has more records easily available.

  you need to do some research.

have you considered  paying in instalments? I only ask as there is some very good eye surgeries over here with excellent track records (though a tad expensive)

   also to consider id should d you need after care? the cost etc of travel back and fro may outweigh any savings up front.

   also what happens if you have a problem requiring hospital attention? very unlikely but you may not be covered by NHS for assistance given abroad under this operation as it is self elected and may be regarded as cosmetic.

  that said I had my laser eye surgery at Moore fields, cost an arm and a leg but as I saved first and pay rest by credit card it only took me a few months to cover the cost. also no after care has been required but if it was it's not far to travel and get some of the best attention in the world. good luck whatever you decide. by the way it's extremely  nice not to have to wear heavy glasses although I still need reading glasses but can buy these for a few pounds at any store.
