My friend's mum got this treatment done at the age of 39....now she is 48..almost 9 years...But at the age of 42 she started seeing this hair like ting infront...she went to the hospital...and they said that her eyes are now very sensitive...and then some years later he did some other sort of surgery using laser...since then she has been using these drops....

and doctors said that her retina is very weak....is there any cure to this???anything special she should have in her diet???anything she can do to make it "stronger"??

I'd be glad to hear your responses. Thanks in advance

  1. It sounds like your friend's mum had a retinal tear or detachment and then needed some laser treatment.

There is really no "cure" per say, other than the laser treatments, however they are more like a band-aid. No real special diet, other than certain vitamins may help and eating healthy (lots of omega-3 fatty acids and green leafy veges are great). Nothing she can really do to make it stronger herself other than take good care of herself and when she notices any changes in her vision to go see an eye doctor immediately because of her history.
