Lasik and the military????

can i still join marine recon navy seals or army sf if i had lasik done?

  1. I cannot give you a definite yes, but I would think you having had lasik is a plus for the military so they don't have to worry about your eyesight going bad and I assume that your vision is pretty keen now.  They'll probably be happy about it.


  2. Lasik, not always....the flap can come back open at times, (has on people).

    However, surface laser (PRK) eye surgery can be done and I highly recommend it. I went from 20/300 to 20/20 in both eyes in about 10 minutes....... 4 months later, still great vision. No worries about PRK with DQ'ing someone.

    Do PRK, Lasik can s***w you later on in getting schools such as HALO, etc.

  3. I asked about this recently, the answer is yes but you may have to wait for upto a year after having it done so that your vision adjusts. Although the time after having it done can vary.

  5. Yes, as long as it fixed your eyes close to twenty-twenty or real close to it.
