Lasik surgery after having keratitis?

Has anyone been able to have lasik surgery after having Keratits?? Please let me know. Thanks !!!

  1. it depends on what kind of keratitis.  there are dozens of types.  most docs recommend against having any refractive surgery when the keratitis  is either recurrent or scarring (like herpes simplex viral keratitis).  also if the keratitis is the result of dryness like superficial punctate keratitis, itsnot a great idea to have lasik in those cases, either.

    but say CL-induced keratitis...lasik wouldnt be contraindicated in that case.

    so it depends on what kind of keratitis you're talking about
