Sri Lankan spearhead pacer, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SL-Malinga-c2540, reiterated that he is available for selection for the national team’s ODIs and T20Is’ matches; despite it may lead to a considerable cut in his wages. The pacer is also heading back to fulfill his obligations with
Indian Premier League franchise, Mumbai Indians, following an earlier-than-expected recovery from a back complaint.
The player, who had retired from Test cricket last year, had reportedly rejected a central contract offer from the Sri Lankan Cricket Board (SLC), after a disagreement over wage issues.
Owing to injuries, Malinga decided to quit the longer version, with his last outing coming against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 in August 2010. It eventually led to an official retirement in 2011, after which the player has been focusing solely on limited-overs contests, along
with plying his trade in the IPL – rendering his services for the national team on a non-contractual basis since March 2011- Feb 2012.
With SLC’s announcement of contractual players for the current year imminent, doubts were cast over Malinga’s stance, as he was expected to earn 60% less than his national teammates, owing to his non-availability in the longer format.
However, the player confirmed that he is fully committed to the team’s cause, albeit for the limited-overs versions, and will sort out matters in the near future.
“No contracts have been offered yet for this year for any of the players. But whether I decide to play with or without [a] contract, does not really matter as I am still 100-percent available for selection for all ODI and T20 commitments for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 just
like I was last year,” Malinga said.

with his side going on to lose both contests.
If deemed fit, the player could make a return for his side’s next clash, against Delhi, played on April 27. Mumbai Indians currently languishing in the lower half of the points table.
