Sri Lanka’s fast bowling coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SL-Malinga-c2540 may make a comeback in Test cricket in future but understands that the team management will have to use him carefully.
The 28-year-old made his way to international cricket in 2004 and immediately became a permanent member of the Lankan team in all formats of the game.
However, the fast bowler came to the limelight in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup 2007 because of his catchy hairstyle and immaculate bowling as he picked up 18 wickets in just eight matches and helped his team reach the final of the illustrious
tournament.
Due to issues with his back and knee, Malinga has not played a Test since 2010 and announced his retirement from the five-day format last year.
Ramanayake, who himself has played international cricket for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758, expressed that the fast bowler is working hard on his fitness and if his body can absorb more workload in future, Malinga will come out of the retirement to represent

The bowling coach is confident that the unorthodox bowler can still be a match-winner in international cricket.
"Because of his [Malinga's] knee problem, he realised that he could be out in all forms of the game. But I have the feeling he might come back to Test cricket if he feels he is fit and strong. I will be happy to play him for one Test
in every series, because I am confident he can win that game for his team,” he said.
Some of the former Lankan cricketers slammed Malinga’s decision last year but Ramanayake expressed that the cricketer wants to play for the Island in all formats but his fitness did not allow him in the past. He further added that
Malinga is never shy of advising the young and upcoming fast bowlers.
"He has the hunger, I know he loves Test cricket. Recently I asked him to join us at the dressing room; he loves to pass on advice to the fast bowlers,” Ramanayake added.
