La Liga club Levante UD may take legal action against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lassad-Nouioui-c21686 for agreeing to play for Levante, but then transferring to Celtic instead.
In a bizarre turn of events, Levante UD are trying to take action against a player who decided to join Scottish League team Celtic, instead of Levante.
According to the Spanish club, Lassad had signed all the required documents and contracts for a transfer to Levante on Saturday morning, however, on Sunday, Glasgow Celtic admitted to signing up the player.
Karim Aklil, the Tunisian national’s agent, stated that he knew nothing of the transfer, and that he was just as surprised to find out as the Spanish side were.
As a result of Lassad’s last second change of heart, Levante director http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-c4309 Gil states, “Our club reserves the right to use legal matters to investigate this transfer. And it is possible it could be reported to FIFA,” meaning that the Spanish side are
ready to sue Lassad on the matter.
The Spanish team representative continued to say, “We were told by his representatives that he would be in for training, only to later discover he was already on a plane to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scotland-c756.”
However Nouioui seems more relaxed than ever, stating, “I’m absolutely delighted.”
“Celtic is a huge club with a fantastic support. I know all about the wonderful atmosphere at Celtic Park and can’t wait to play there,” said Nouioui.
Not being a stranger to the Spanish league, Lassad, played for Deportivo La Coruna between the years of 2009 and 2012. While playing for Deportivo, the Tunis player scored 24 goals in just 99 appearances.
However instead of transferring to another Spanish team, it seems like Lassad was in the mood for a change of scenery. However, it is doubtful that it is the only reason.
The most likely reason for his last minute change of heart could be due to his desire to play in the UEFA Champions League, which Celtics have qualified for this year.
“And, of course, I’m also looking to compete in the Champions League with such a great club,” said the Tunisian forward.
Whatever the Tunisian’s reason may be, Lassad better get ready for some corrective action heading his way.
