Real Madrid are currently leading the Spanish La Liga table, and are also a part of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, where they face Bayern Munich in what is expected to be a thrilling encounter.
However, all this happened with little help from the French national, Lassana Diarra, who has rarely made any appearances for Los Blancos this season.
Once considered to be a solid holding midfielder, has given only 25 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish La Liga league leaders.

Recently, reports in the Spanish capital suggested that the 27-year-old midfielder is unhappy with his status at the Bernabeu and he met up with Fenerbahce’s chiefs after leaving for Istanbul on a private plane.
The Frenchman has already told the Turkish side that his yearly wage deman is 6.5 million Euros. In case the Turkish side are interested in signing the out-of-favour Real Madrid player, the Turkish side are expected to pay a sum around 8 to 10 million Euros

Lassana Diarra joined Real Madrid back in 2009, after completing a 20 million transfer from the Premier League side, Portsmouth. Since then, the French star has been giving 20-30 appearances at average. However, it is true that he has never been an integral
part of the Spanish giants.
After acknowledging the fact that he is no longer needed by Los Blancos, Lassana Diarra decided to break off his negotiations for contract renewal and is set to leave the Spanish side.
Real Madrid will barely get affected by the departure of the Frenchman, who has been tested in different position during the course of the season. Diarra has played in the attacking midfield, the holding midfield and the right-back position during Real Madrid’s
campaign.
However, he has still not managed to impress Jose Mourinho and he is rarely a first-choice starter for the Portuguese mentor.
