Ajax Amsterdam midfielder has a reason to believe that the Danes could very well pull off few surprising results.
“Netherlands better be cautious against us. We might be the weakest team in our group on paper, but we have a very solid squad”, Schone was quoted as saying to NUsport.nl.
De Rod-Hvide finished at the summit of the Group H in the Euro qualifying round, three points ahead of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984, and finished at the top of Group 1 in the FIFA World Cup 2010 qualifiers, only a single point ahead of the Navigators.
The 25-year-old midfielder is confident that the Red and Whites can replicate their recent performances in the upcoming competition in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 as well.
“We finished ahead of Portugal in the latest qualifying campaigns for the World Cup and the European Championship, so why wouldn't we be able to repeat that? Additionally, we drew our last game against Germany, and only just lost
to Netherlands”, Schone added.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/NEC-c40018 Nijmegen midfielder went on to reveal that he does not mind when the Danish Dynamite are underestimated.
“Denmark are the number 10 country in the FIFA ranking, so we're not that bad of a team. I don't mind people underestimating us”, Schone concluded.
The Olsen-Banden will commence their Euro 2012 campaign against Netherlands on June 9. Portugal will be their second test on June 13 while they will play their final group game against Germany on June 17.
Schone would be hoping that he could play an integral role in securing his side’s progression to the knock-out phase, though, he knows that it will not be an easy task to achieve.
