Lasse Schone’s agent moots speculation regarding Feyenoord Rotterdam move – Dutch Eredivisie news
NEC Nijmegen’s Lasse Schone is being linked with a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 Rotterdam in the ongoing summer transfer market, but Rob Groener, Schone’s agent, has mooted all speculation regarding his client’s move to Feijenoord Stadion. The 25-year-old’s current
contract at McDOS Goffertstadion expires in three weeks and his future remains uncertain.
The player’s contract with NEC concludes at the end of the month and the club management is yet to offer the 25-year-old a contract extension. The midfielder has been a part of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/NEC-c40018 since his arrival in 2008/09 season and has scored 12 goals in 67 appearances.
Groener admitted that his client was on De Stadionclub’s wish list previously but revealed that he has not heard from the Rotterdam giants.
“We don't know anything about Feyenoord. There is nothing concrete, neither from Feyenoord, nor from other clubs”, Schone’s agent revealed.
On the other hand, De Stadionclub are looking to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window ahead on the new season. The fallen Eredivisie giants were earlier being linked with the 25-year-old, but it seems like there was nothing concrete about
the interest.
Furthermore, Martin van Geel, De Stadionclub’s technical director, admitted that the midfielder is a good player. However, he believed that the Danish International’s transition to his club is not possible.
“An interesting player, but for a transfer, it is still too early”, Van Geel was quoted as saying to the media.
The Stadiumclub have also set their sights on SC Heerenveen’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan in the 2011/12 season. However, to table a bid for the striker, the Rotterdam-based outfit need to raise their
transfer budget by selling http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Georginio-Wijnaldum-c14629, who has attracted interest from elite European clubs.
Nonetheless, it seems unlikely that the Stadiumclub would be tabling a bid for Schone, but Dost’s arrival at Feijenoord Stadion seems likely to materialize in the ongoing summer transfer market.
