  1. This is an explanation of the origin of the name only, not necessarily the nationality of the person to whom it belongs.

    Trujillo

    Last name origin & meaning:

Spanish: habitational name from the city so named in Cáceres province, called in Latin Turgalium, which is probably of Arabic origin. This place was the home of various conquistadors, hence its great frequency in the Americas.

  2. Knowing the origin of a name doesn't necessarily mean that you know the genetic make up of the person who uses the name.

Trujillo is a common Spanish name.  I've known Spaniards, Cuban, Puerto Ricans, Mexicans, Costa Ricans, Columbians and even Brazilians that have that surname.  I've also known plenty of "white" or non-Hispanic people that have the name Trujillo just because one of their distant ancestors were Hispanic.

  3. Sure do know the name we have one Trujillo in Australia although not sure if spelling is the same but he is head honcho of our goverment telephone system,"Telstra" (www.telstra.com) Think perhaps he is Spanish  who cares he is doing a job and seems to be doing it reasonable well
