  1. Just stay cool and dont be afraid, do your best and dont think that you might not make it. Just think that nobodys around..

  2. Just relax that night. Then in the morining exersise exersise exersise practice practice practice. Eat a good breakfast. And pretend you are in a room by yourself when you are trying out. Good Luck!

  3. Be confident in everything you do! Practice without playing around, but also showing that you love the game and it is fun to ya!  Listen to all the advice that the coach gives to you and everyone else and put his/her advice in play.  Don't be lazy! When going to get a ball that you just spiked, don't walk run to get the ball to show that you are ready to go again.  Everyone is going to make mistakes everyonce in a while, so don't let one little mistake get to ya, just try to find out what you did wrong and how to correct it.  If for some reason you didn't make it this year, practice all year and try out again next year.

  4. just focus on what your doing and give yourself some confidence and say to your self that your the best.....you should do awsome.=)

  5. Make sure you are talking ALL the time. Tell your teammates good job, help someone out if you know they are doing something wrong (shows leadership), always hustle. I made a team one time because i out hustled everybody out there. If you make a mistake, shake it off, this shows you are human and can move past a mistake. Plus, you aren't the only one making mistakes out there(i bet the coach will mess up a few times!) If there are drills, volunteer to go first. i was always extremely nervous before tryouts!! but it will be ok.

  6. Just relax and do the best you can as long as you are satisfied with how you are working then you should be fine but make sure you serves get over and serve receive is ok then you should for sure make it email me with the results

  7. Just relax, get a good nights sleep before, eat a good meal.  Then dig, set, spike.

  8. try as hard as you possibly can, never ever give up. just keeping thinking to yourself about how badly you want to make it.

like, when you're running keep pushing, even if you feel like you're too tired, just keep going as fast and hard as you can.

also, make yourself known to the coaches and have a really really good attitude.

    GOOD LUCK!

  9. no biggie just have fun and put some spirit into it like show your coach that youre really into it. dont even think that its a tryout just think of it as youre playing regurlarly. if you dont make it then oh well atleast you got up there and tried. nothing to it gurl.

  10. When I play volleyball, I find that I play better when I am deeply focused on each move. I go over my perfect technique in my head and that usually translates to a good play. Volleyball is a huge mental game and it is easy to get unfocused and lose your composure.

  11. Practice makes perfect right? Be sure to get a good nights rest, eat breakfast, and practice. Maybe you could practice in the morning before school, durring gym [if you're allowed to] or before the tryouts start. Don't wear yourself out though. Drink lot's of water and wear something comfortable. Don't stress out. If you're feeling butterflies take 3 deep breaths. They really do help. Just try your best and hopefuly you'll make it!

  12. My advice is to always be ready.  Stay on your toes.  Expect your teammate to shank it so you are ready no matter where the ball goes.  Show your coaches that you work hard and don't slack off.  Practice bumping/setting to certain spots.  Practice on your roof.

Be vocal: call it out and never be timid.  Relax and just always keep control.  Don't be wild when hitting the ball, have confidence that you know you can get to it and hit it with control.
