  1. you can get a list of activities such as the one listed below and many more at http://www.LouMarTravel.com go to the "extras" tab and select event tickets, click on tickets and attractions, type in Key West, select the dates and you'll get a list of just about everything from a romantic two-hour Champagne Sunset Cruise  to parasailing.

  2. We did the pub crawl when we were there and had a great time seeing the sights off the beaten path

  3. why not try to go look for the real world house

  4. you can rent a scooter or golf cart and drive its fun..there are alot of little booths with their own excurisons and they have rental options there. there is duvel street and there is alot of shopping there and its basicly all walking. they have alot of bar specials too like 2 for one. there is also looking for the infamous mile mark and the southern most point. also get key lime pie at the blonde giraffe and go to eat at sloppy joes. the beaches are man made so if u want to pick a stop to just walk and explore this is the place.

  5. parasailing, glass bottom boats, fishing, theres alot once u get there.

  6. The Pirate Soul Museum!!  Don't miss it!  If you are even vaguely interested in pirates you'll have a blast.  It's like Disneyland + Smithsonian.  Don't bother booking this with the cruise line, it's not far from the pier and the walk down Duval Street is fun and there's lots of shops and things to see - you don't want some guide prodding you along like a herd of cattle.  It's a few bucks cheaper to walk there on your own anyway.

Skip the Shipwreck museum (forgot the exact name.)  It's pretty dull under the best of circumstances, but if you've just come from the aforementioned pirate museum, you might fall asleep there.

Key West Aquarium!  For a small town aquarium, this is very nice!  They have a "touchy-feely" tank full of starfish, horseshoe crabs, and other sea critters that you can touch or pick up and hold!  Very cool.

Conch Fritters!  Yum yum!  Conch sushi too, if you're a bit more adventurous.  Key Lime Pie on a Stick!  Self explanatory. Sinful!  Don't miss it.  Ginger beer!  Rum cakes!  Fresh seafood!   Don't get back on the cruise ship hungry - try some of these things!  There's street vendors (they are strictly regulated there, so buy without worrying about getting sick) all around the pier and on Duval St. but you might have to ask around a bit for the more unusual items.

The snorkeling is alright, but it's no Cozumel.  Try kayaking thru the mandrake forest, or if you just want to see some pretty scenery, try renting a car and driving up the Intercoastal to Key Largo and back.

But mostly, check out the Pirate museum, get something yummy to snack on, and stroll down Duval St and soak in the atmosphere.  You'll hardly believe you're in the United States!

  7. Conch fritters.  You must have them.
