  1. Just came back from few days vacation in France. Please bear in mind French speaks little English.

When you approach French, please remember not to say, "do you speak english?" As if you ask in that way, for sure you will be disappointed as they will tell you they can't speak English altho they might speak English. French reluctance to use English/use little English as France had been clolonised by English long long time ago... therefore they are in the stage of reluctance to adopt English culture.

Actually alot can be grabs in France especially their fashion (which is the top in the world)... if you are interested in perfume sort of thing then you can try to shop for that... not to forget about the Wines in France...

I believe you know well about tourist spot in France and if you are not sure about that then please do not forget to get a copy of its city map when you arrive any city in France.

Do enjoy your holiday in France. Good luck...

  2. But lots of trip insurance

  3. ok

  4. Don't expect everyone to be able to speak English, make sure you have a French phrase book in hand. Lol! You must go to the Louvre, Eiffel tower, eat the local cuisine and grab yourself a French tart or two. But most importantly explore the city and have fun!

  5. ahhh... g*y paris. well, first of all, i'd suggest taking the metro in to the city, there's a direct line to gare du nord from charles de gaulle. it will cost six euro and is the cheapest route. the metro lines are very easy to navigate. so before you go i'd suggest pulling one up online and familiarizing yourself with it.

sights... you must see the eiffel tower from trocadero. i don't know the exact line, but the stop is called trocadero and you can't miss it. also, the louvre and musee d'orsay. sacre coeur, in montmartre, is a must see as well. there's notre dame, the arc de triomphe, which are all on avenue de champs elysees. but mind you it is a very long road so you'll want to take the metro. one of my favorite places is the tuilerie gardens, its got lots of sculptures and random stuff.

almost forgot, when you're at the airport, you'll want to buy a train ticket called a mobilis... you can one and use it for the whole time you're there. i think its like 7 euro a day, but its best because you dont have to keep buying tickets.

and never ask someone if they speak english... kindly say bonjour monsieur/madame... wait for them to say it back, then ask parlez-vous anglais... more often than not they will know enough english to help you and they will be grateful you've shown interest in their culture.

good luck, et dites salut a paris de ma part.

  6. the lourve is a must but go early( it opens really early and u can take photos) Notre Dame is worth a visit and looks great at night all lit up. watch out for ppl "picking up a ring" they are scammers and most likely ask you for money or a partner will pick ur pockets while ur distracted.
