Has anyone ever booked a cruise the day of departure dockside? I've heard people talk about getting GREAT deals. How do you go about it?

  1. what i have heard is that you go to the doc with all your bags packed and hope the ship still has a few open rooms and if they do, they sell them real cheap (so they can feel the ship)i would think you have a better chance in the off season.

  2. Call a travel agent - they can give you different rates for all the different companies at the last minute. Have a good idea of what sort of ship you want to travel on - how long you want to go - make sure you have a valid passport.  Have a great trip!

  3. About two weeks before you want to go...try this site:

    iBtraveling.com

They usually take all the people in lower cabins and move them closer to the top...leaving the bottom cabins open again for cheap.   Just try and get one with a window.  You'll find a good deal.
